A piece of Marble

The textures and patterns of marble can be intricate and endlessly varied. In ancient Asia, people would read landscapes within its surface, seeing vast sceneries or imagining magnificent stories hidden in the stone.

By cutting and assembling marbles of different colors and patterns, new compositions emerge. Rearranged forms begin to evoke the image of food: a half-transparent surface may resemble a sugar-coated dessert, while layered sides recall the strata of rich fillings.
